Luke Skywalker himself confronted the Dark Side of social media after reports surfaced that his Last Jedi co-star Kelly Marie Tran wiped her Instagram account due to constant abuse online.
Hamill wasn’t the first to speak out against the cyberbullying which targeted Tran after the release of the latest Star Wars episode. Director Rian Johnson previously took a softer tone, claiming that the trolls were a vocal minority.
But Hamill clearly wasn’t satisfied with mild words. He voiced his support for Tran in a short message on Twitter and unleashed a new hashtag: #GetALifeNerds.
Did you just feel a disturbance in the Force? It was as if a million trolls suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
