Kia and Hyundai owners, listen up.

According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, Kia has announced that they are recalling 507,587 vehicles. Hyundai, a company affiliated with Kia, is expected to announce a similar recall later this month.

Air bags in affected models have been shown to short circuit and prevent the front air bags and seat belt pretensions from deploying in the event of a crash. 2010-2013 Forte compact cars, 2011-2013 Optima sedans, 2011-2012 Optima Hybrid sedans and Sedona minivans are affected.

Hyundai is expected to recall over half a million 2011-2013 Sonata sedans and 2011-2012 Sonata Hybrids.
