France Wins World Cup in 4-2 Finish Against Croatia

France won their second World Cup title on Sunday, beating Croatia 4-2. It was the highest-scoring World Cup final since 1958.

France’s head coach, Didier Deschamps became just the third man to win the World Cup as both a player and as a head coach. Nineteen year old Kylian Mbappe became the second teenager in history to score during a World Cup final.

This was a great rebound for France, who lost the 2016 European Championship final on their home turf. The team would have won 4-1 if it hadn’t been for a huge error from Hugo Lloris who gave Mario Mandzukic the chance to score.
