Ohio Special Election Too Close to Call

The special election in Ohio, which pitted Republican Troy Balderson against Democrat Danny O’Connor, is too close to call, despite Balderson claiming victory.

Balderson is ahead by 1,754 votes, but there are nearly 8,500 votes left to count between absentees and provisionals. With a current margin of .09%, these ballots could either secure Balderson’s win, push the margin down to .05% or less (which would force a recount), or potentially give O’Connor the lead.

President Trump has already tweeted congratulations to Balderson, saying that his speech in Ohio on Saturday night was the reason for his win.
