The first and second place highest-earning golfers will go head to head on Thanksgiving weekend for a $9 million pot.
Tiger Woods, 42, has won 14 major championships and is in the middle of a comeback after recovering from multiple back surgeries. Phil Mickelson, 48, is a five-time major winner and is one US Open win of the career Grand Slam.
“It’s a ridiculous amount of money,” Mickelson said to Golf.com. “No matter how much money you have, this amount will take both of us out of our comfort zone.”
The match will be offered live on DirecTV and B/R Live with a marquee event airing on TNT and HBO’s 24/7 Reality Franchise.
