The National Hurricane Center has issued an advisory for Hurricane Florence, churning in the Atlantic and heading towards the east coast of the country.

The NHC expects the center of the hurricane to move between Bermuda and the Bahamas on Tuesday before making its way to the southeastern US coast on Thursday. Sustained wind speed has increased to 75 mph on Sunday and it is expected to grow even stronger thanks to the warm Atlantic waters.

North Carolina and South Carolina have both declared states of emergency. The slow movement of the storm could have a Hurricane Harvey-like effect, dumping massive amounts of rainfall not only on the coast, but inland as well.
