Mystery Attacks in Cuba & China May Be Linked to Russia

Strange attacks on US government workers in Cuba and China appear to be linked to Russia, but US spy agencies have stopped short of formerly accusing Moscow.

Sophisticated microwave or electromagnetic weapons appear to have been used on 26 government workers in their homes and hotels in Havana. Beginning in late 2016, the attacks have caused brain injuries, hearing loss and cognition, balance and vision problems. Another US worker in China was diagnosed with similar symptoms.

Workers initially reported hearing strange sounds which made investigators believe that the weapon could be sonic in nature, but the FBI determined that sound waves alone could not have caused the injuries.

The State Department announced that the “investigation is ongoing. We have made no determination on who or what is responsible for the health attacks.”
