On Wednesday, Apple introduced the world to its newest iPhone models: the iPhone XS, an evolution on the iPhone X; the iPhone XS Max, a larger screen version of the iPhone X; and the iPhone Xr, a budget model that combines features from the iPhone X with older models of the smartphone.
Upgraded speed, cameras and screens were the biggest features on the new iPhone models. All of the new phones feature the notch added in the iPhone X model and facial recognition in lieu of fingerprint scanning.
A new generation of the Apple Watch was also announced, with a new feature allowing the watch to take an FDA-approved electrocardiograph, or ECG, of the wearer. It takes 30 seconds and then lets the wearer know if their heart is in a healthy rhythm or if a-fibrillation is detected.
