North Carolina Drenched by Florence

In eastern North Carolina, massive amounts of rain and wind damage have flooded homes and buildings, power outages and stranded residents in the wake of Hurricane Florence. At least 18 people, mostly in North Carolina, have died and hundreds are stranded after flooding cut off parts of North and South Carolina.

And we’re not done yet.

More rainfall is expected from the slow-moving storm, now a tropical depression. An addition 2 to 5 inches with some localized areas exceeding 8 inches are being predicted by forecasters. This will mostly affect central to southeastern North Carolina through today.
