The 5-year-old boy who made worldwide headlines after being thrown over a third-floor balcony at the mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, is beginning to show signs of recovery.
His family confirmed this in a statement, adding that the boy still remains in intensive care.
“Truly a miracle…,” the family pastor said in a statement, explaining that a recent test revealed the boy has “zero evidence of brain damage.”
Despite the 40-foot fall, the Pastor expressed miraculous amazement at how the boy has “no spinal cord injury, no nerve damage, no internal injuries that were life-threatening.”
However, the pastor added that boy did suffer head trauma and multiple broken bones in the fall, and remains under sedation.
The deranged man responsible for the boy’s injury, Emmanuel Aranda, 24, was “looking for someone to kill,” according to reports, when he grabbed the boy and threw him over the balcony.
Aranda was arrested and charged with attempted premeditated first-degree murder, according to Bloomington police.
