The show that makes us give a sideways glance to our smartphone is back.
The trailer for Black Mirror Season 5 dropped today and the new episodes promise more storylines about technology, and our relationship with it, that make us squirm on our sofas.
Although the new season is just three episodes long, it will feature a star-studded cast. Andrew Scott (Sherlock), Anthony Mackie (Falcon in the Marvel films), Pom Klementieff (Mantis in the Marvel films), Topher Grace (That ’70s Show), and even Miley Cirus all take on roles penned by show creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones.
From the trailer, one of the new episodes looks to revolve around a character suffering a public breakdown that is live-streamed by bystanders.
The story involving Cyrus looks like it has her cast as a school outsider that turns into a pop star with the help of a Siri-type virtual assistant. Some other clips show what appear to a Mortal Kombat-style showdown.
The new season hits Netflix on June 5th.
