Trump interviewed with Telemundo this week where he said that Democratic frontrunners for 2020, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, look “exhausted” and “tired crazy”.
In the interview, scheduled to air on Thursday, the President was asked who he would prefer to go up against in the 2020 election cycle.
The two names Trump came up with were Sanders and Biden, both big contenders that will face off against each other soon during the first Democratic debate. He suggested they both are looking rung out and tired already.
The President doesn’t understand why Biden looks so tired, as he isn’t working right now. He continued against his opponents during the interview, saying that their age (Sanders is 77, while Biden is 76) will make it harder for them to do their job. Trump, who is 72, said it is “hard work” being President, and that you have to “work hard” in order to do it right.
President Trump recently said he gets about 5 hours of sleep a night at the White House, and reports from inside his administration say he spends upwards of 5 hours a day watching the news and discussing it with his advisors.
