In a surprise announcement, Chip and Joanna Gaines have announced a new original TV series that they are working on… and it will premiere on their own TV network!
The first confirmed show for the highly anticipated Magnolia TV network will be Home on the Road, which follows husband and wife Abner Ramirex and Amanda Sudano as they tour with their band Johnnyswim and bring kids Joaquin, 4, and Luna, 1, along for the ride.
If the names sound familiar, it’s because the husband and wife duo have been friends with Chip and Jo for a little over five years now, and are also responsible for the Fixer Upper theme.
“We’ve found some great couples from across the country,” Chip Gaines said when talking about putting together the TV network, adding, “It’s just really cool to highlight these particular stories and sort of, hopefully, bring them to life.”
If you’re still really missing Jo’s designs and Chip’s quips, you’ll be happy to know that the new network will also be home to the entire Fixer Upper catalog, from it’s 2013 debut to the 2018 final episode.
The Magnolia TV network is scheduled to premiere in October of 2020.
